Wise master is the name given to a type of character featured in several comics, who sits with folded legs in a hut or small building atop a mountain. The wise masters and their residences all have different appearances, but they share many traits in common, such as having a robe and long grey hair and a beard. A few comics break the general trend, such a Conscious, which features a wise master that does not have a hut
