:This comic references the paradoxes proposed by the Greek pholosopher Zeno of Elea, in which a moving object such as an arrow could never reach a target, as to do so it would first have to move half of the distance to the target before covering half of the remaining distance, then half of the distance remaining, and so on, always having more steps to take. The conclusion here is that movement is impossible as each step toward a goal would cover half the distance of the previous step, and take infinite time. What makes it a paradox is that it's obviously false and movement is possible.{{citation needed}}

This comic references the paradoxes proposed by the Greek pholosopher Zeno of Elea, in which a moving object such as an arrow could never reach a target, as to do so it would first have to move half of the distance to the target before covering half of the remaining distance, then half of the distance remaining, and so on, always having more steps to take. The conclusion here is that movement is impossible as each step toward a goal would cover half the distance of the previous step, and take infinite time. What makes it a paradox is that it's obviously false and movement is possible.[citation needed]
