This is a list of "manual categories", categories of comics which are maintained by users by hand, individually examining them and deciding which categories they fit in. Not included are categories that are maintained automatically, such as Friday comics and Autogenerated transcript, which are added based on the date.

This list was last updated November 18, 2024, excluding member numbers, which are seldom updated. If any new categories pop up, they should be added to this list and one of the breakdown sections below it. The list should also be updated if categories are moved or deleted.

Comics by characters with too many voteys

These characters are special and have separate categories for comics which feature them in the votey. They should only be added to both categories if they are featured in the comic proper and its votey.

Comics by characters or types of characters

Comics by subject matter

Comics by quirks of the medium

Such as the comic's art, the arrangement of the panels, comics that have issues with the website, comics that are drawn to promote something else, comics drawn by a guest artist ... et cetera
