He [[death-9|takes pride in his work]], and is always looking for [[scythe|more efficient ways]] to [[the-harvest|reap souls]], while also [[grim|seeing the solemnity of it]]. Since everything in the universe is constantly approaching death, he says [[death-2|the whole universe is geared towards his favorite thing]]. [[2014-06-12|When he cannot take a whole life]], he'll take a piece of someone, like a belief, to the Land of Shadows. [[forgetfulness|He hates the Land of Shadows]], as the River of Forgetfulness affects him just as much as mortals.

Though he sometimes takes people to the Land of Shadows, [[death-8|he also takes them to Heaven]].
